Dorothy 13th December 2021

Monday * December 13, 2021 * 11:02 a.m. Hi Sweetie, Nana is here in her pj's and robe because its a little chilly this morning. I've eaten oatmeal with apples and chia seeds for breakfast. Doctor told me to eat more fruits and vegetables at my last visit. He also had the nerve to tell me to lose weight...not directly mind you, but in his notes that I read later on that day in My Chart portal. I will think about his advice after the holidays. Hee Hee :o) Anyway, after reading the paper and playing games on this computer here I am. Its been a good month so far. I've kept busy doing what I can. I find time to what I like to do and go where I want to. At my age, and being retired, I am not on a schedule. Later today, I will meet with my neighbor Claudia about filing a complaint about our HOA property manager. She is not doing a good job. The last manager Julia was awesome! On a scale of 1 to 10 we give Gracie a 2! Anyway, enough of my bellyaching...I have to get ready to pick up a package from Ross. Sure glad Amazon placed a retrieval box inside their store. I don't have to worry about someone ripping off packages off my front porch. I also have to run errands and maybe go to Salad-n-go to get a healthy salad that takes me a couple days to eat. Nana made potato chip/pecan cookies for a Celebration of Life for my friend Janie's husband Johnnie. It was a sad but nice occasion. So many people came to show their respects. The venue was outside and it was a nice day in rural Laveen. I stayed awhile chatting and eating with friends. I gave my buddy Janie a big hug as she is devastated and so sad. Say hi to Johnnie if you see him. He was such an awesome husband and friend. He spoiled her so...and I know she is grieving her husband of almost 50 years. Well, enough of my chatter. I'm just in a pensive mood. Christmas is around the corner and of course I am not ready. I have to put up my tree still. I forgot to tell you we celebrated your Sis Emily's birthday early at Hash Kitchen and As You Wish where we painted pottery. I am so happy I was included as it was just me, Jasmine, Erika, her BFF Nicole and her daughter Jazzy who turn 11 on the 15th. Okay that it...no more to add. ;o) Please ask GOD to keep us safe and healthy. Ask him to be with those of us who are ill and those of us who have lost friends and family due to Covid. I love and miss you always. Love, Nana Dee
