Thursday * Dec. 15, 2011 * 8:45 p.m. Hi Sweetpea, I'm thinking of you this evening and want to let you know that a boy I have never met passed away last night. I just found out about it, he was in 6th grade at one of our schools and he had been sick for a very long time. One of our buses took him to and from school every day. When he was not feeling well, his Mom would call and ask us not to go by for him. When I heard he passed away, I thought of you and how you struggled and fought to live as long as you could. This boy whose name was Alexis was in a wheelchair and had his share of health problems too. Say Hi to him for me and ask GOD to comfort his Mom and his family. Also, his friends at home and at school. Ask GOD to comfort his school nurse Pat who did so much for him the 6 years that he attended Laird School.
